The flavor is a sensation produced by the senses of taste and smell simultaneous. Commonly used in the food and beverage industry to add and reinforce the taste, characteristics, and selling points. Apart from being used as a flavor and aroma addition, the F&B industries use flavor as a standard for flavoring products. If a product has no flavor added, the possibility of a change in taste will be higher than if there is an addition of flavor to the products.
Fragrance which can be experienced by our smelling sense, is combination of chemicals that gives each perfume or cologne (including those used in other products) its distinct scent. Fragrance ingredients may be derived from petroleum or natural raw materials.
Essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile (easily evaporated at normal temperatures) chemical compounds from plants. Essential oils are also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetheroleum, or simply as the oil of the plant from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. Essential oil is "essential" in the sense that it contains the "essence of" the plant's fragrance—the characteristic fragrance of the plant from which it is derived.
